SERIES THREE

Sooper Groops

You’ve likely seen a design very similar to our Sooper Groop tees. In fact, we guess that most human beings on this planet have seen the first names of the Beatles, rendered by the genius designers at Experimental Jetset in Milton Glazer-esque style with stacked Helvetica and bulbous ampersands.

It’s likely you’ve also seen thousands upon thousands of knock-offs of this design, and many of those with a tenuous grasp on the design principles inherent in the original.

In our defense, we have opted to extend the concept to encompass other amazing collections of four people, both real and fictional. And like John, Paul, George and Ringo, these are folks who possess fame enough to be recognized by just one name (with a little help from their friends, of course).

SERIES TWO

Just Your Type

We all know about the resourceful adventurers who are trying to keep instant sheet film alive. They are brave people and supremely worthy of our support.

Instant sheet film (in many sizes) was “a thing” for a very long time. Most would agree that Dr. Edwin Land & Co. had a pretty good run.

But let’s face it, the Polaroid we know in our bones is gone.

“Just Your Type” pays respect to six of the most coveted and dearly missed Polaroid film types, rendered in the iconic Trade Gothic font used by Polaroid designer Paul Giambarba in the 1960s and 70s.

What Type were you? Did you hoard 55 when it was discontinued? Are you saving that last box of 669 for something special? (Why?!?! It’s gonna dry out!!)

SERIES ONE

Serious Glass

Lenses from the early-to-mid part of the 20th century had really awesome names. Names that sound like they came from a NASA catalog. Names like the titles of Philip K. Dick novels or Tarkovsky movies.

Some of these lenses are also very very good lenses, or very rare, and sometimes both. They have become legendary in certain super small circles of gearheads and photo nerds - but they are otherwise, for all practical purposes, unknown.

These lenses with their great names and cult followings deserve the rockstar treatment - as murtch.
